About His Holiness Sanat Kumara, the American-Born Incarnation of Buddha Maitreya
Sanat Kumara, is known by many in the East and West as The Buddha Maitreya or by his honorific Tibetan title, His Holiness Jetsun Gyalwa Jampa Gonpo. He has been enthroned and given ceremonies of recognition in many lineages within Tibetan Buddhism.
His Holiness Buddha Maitreya's 'Prayers for Peace' Dharshan in Nepal in 2005: Enthronements at Maitri Vihar, the 'Maitreya' Monastery and Karma Raj Maha Vihar at Swayambhu Stupa and as the reincarnation of the great Buddhist Saint Jetsun Milarepa by the Golden Temple, Patan Recognition by Lumbini Development Trust at Lumbini UNESCO World Heritage Site and birthplace of Buddha Maitreya's previous life as Gautama Buddha; Enthronements by the Buddhist Association of Nepal & Singapore with certificates of recognition presented on behalf of several Senior Rinpoches in Tibet, Enthronement by H.E. Dezhung Tulku at Tharlam Monastery, Boudha Stupa.
He is the incarnated Living Buddha Maitreya, the Medicine Buddha and was born in Oregon in 1951. Maitreya comes from the sanskrit word "Maitri" meaning unattached and unconditional loving kindness. His Holiness is the reincarnation of God on Earth, The Planetary Logos. He is always incarnated and the major externalizations of those incarnations can be seen throughout history approximately every 500 years. Previous lives that include Krishna, Gautama Buddha, Jesus The Christ, Babaji and several recognized incarnations within Tibetan Buddhism including the Tibetan Yogi Saint Milarepa, Padmasambhava, Atisha and Je Tsong Khapa.
His Holiness Buddha Maitreya's Dharma Activities in Tibet & India in 2001: Recognition by Dharma King Kathok Dudrok Rinpoche with responsibility for over 500 monasteries in Tibet; Visit to sacred caves of Padmasambhava, Mandarava and Yeshe Tsogyal and the Tara Temple in Dena, Tibet; Construction of the Dema Tsemo University of Five Shastras in Tibet overseen and directed by His Holiness Buddha Maitreya and funded by the Church of Shambhala Vajradhara Maitreya Sangha ; Enthronement at Litang Maitreya Shedrup Dharjeeling Monastery in Tibet; Receiving Rinpoche throne seat at Lhopa Khamtsen, Drepung Loseling Buddhist University in Mungod, India and enthronement and teaching at Krishna Temple in Goa.
His Holiness has always taught that wisdom comes from giving and has made the support of Tulkus, living saints within Tibetan Buddhism, and their monasteries one of his main focuses as well as helping westerners to learn deep meditation and further their own self-healing through the transmission of his blessings. Through reincarnation, all the Saints of all the religions reincarnate and are always with us. Tibetan Buddhism supports and furthers this Tulku reality. His Holiness supports many of these Saints so that through the blessings of their relationship with him, they can recapitulate their true nature and have their practical and spiritual needs taken care of, allowing them to fully incarnate who they truly are from previous lives and live healthy, happy lives in this life so they may better serve and further humanity.
His Holiness Buddha Maitreya's Dharma Activities in Tibet 2003: enthronemnt at Kashi Monastery in Amdo, Tibet and at the completed Dema Tsemo Univesity of Five Shastras Monastery in Dema, Kham, Tibet which His Holiness Buddha Maitreya sponsored the construction of, after being recognized as the reincarnation of Guru Rinpoche by Dema Tulku, one of the 25 disciples of Padmasambhava 'Guru Rinpoche'.
His Holiness consolidated his work of helping exiled Tibetan Refugees and Tibetan Monasteries in 1994, when he established the first Dharma Center in Kathmandu, Nepal and the later in Dharamsala, India and Chengdu, China. In 1996, His Holiness established the Church of Shambhala Vajradhara Maitreya Sangha, a 501c(3) Non-Profit American Buddhist Church and The New Group of World Servers Trusts,a UK Registered Charity. Both organizations offer the opportunity for westerners to become monks and nuns and lead more spiritual and service orientated lives here in the West. They represent both East and West and the tenets of Christianity and Buddhism, with a focus on charitable activity as one of the fundamental necessities of personal and planetary healing.
His Holiness Buddha Maitreya's Dharma Activities in Nepal in 2008: Enthronements at Maitri Vihar Monastery at Swayambhu, Nepal; Karma Dubgyu Choling 'Manang' Monastery in Pokhara, Nepal; Presentation of land for an American Monastery to be constructed at Lumbini - UNESCO World heritage site and birthplace of His Holiness Buddha Maitreya's previous incarnation as Gautama Buddha by Lumbini Development Trust; Enthronement by Dhokya Tulku, one of the 25 disciples of Padmasambhava and Tulku Gyurme Kunsang; Visit to the Buddha Maitreya Free Clinic and Treatment Center in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Church raises funds by handcrafting and selling the Buddha Maitreya Shambhala Meditation & Healing Tools. Designed by His Holiness, the tools radiate Buddha Maitreya's healing and transformational Buddhaic force of Light, creating a telepathic bridge that heals and brings spiritual blessings that help establish anyone who uses them on the Path of the Soul. They apply sacred geometry using energetic vibrational medicine for "Soul Therapy", transmuting negative energies by increasing nature's Chi and correcting energetic imbalances in the Etheric Field. Several of the Monks and Nuns dedicate their daily meditation to the making of these forms while others focus on raising money through educational fund raising forums and the sale of the tools.
His Holiness offers weekend Dharshan teachings, spiritual retreats, and pilgrimages in the United States, United Kingdom, Tibet China, India and Nepal. Today, the Church has dharma centers in India, Nepal, Tibet China, United Kingdom and the USA. Buddha Maitreya also supports and sponsors the running of 2 free medical clinics in Nepal. His Holiness is currently furthering his work of personal and planetary healing by overseeing the development of The Church of Shambhala Vajradhara Maitreya Sangha Monastery & Retreat Center in Northern California. The Monastery applies principles of Sacred Geomancy for Planetary healing.
The Monastery is home to the Sangha, a monastic community of Monks and Nuns and breaks new ground by combining and developing technologies for harmless living to sustain and heal humanity such as solar and wind power, sustainable housing and recycling, together with aquaponic and hyrdoponic farming.
